My understanding from looking into the recipe book niche for Kindle is that you can't copyright recipes. So, you can't really "steal" them. However, a lot of folks in the niche suggest rewriting the recipes in your own words and perhaps a different order. You can hire somebody to do this really, really cheaply on oDesk (like..$1-$2/hr)

    Best Wishes,
    Vic

Thank you but I think rewriting will hard. it is possible to rewrite recipes like this for $1-2 and don't got Adsense ban for duplicate posts?
      Code:
      Pudding Ingredients:

      • 4 cups (8 slices) cubed white bread
      • 1/2 cup raisins
      • 2 cups milk
      • 1/4 cup butter
      • 1/2 cup sugar
      • 2eggs, slightly beaten
      • 1 tablespoon vanilla
      • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

      Sauce Ingredients:
      • 1/2 cup butter
      • 1/2 cup sugar
      • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
      • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
      • 1 tablespoon vanilla

      Directions for Pudding:
Heat oven to 350°F. Combine bread and raisins in large bowl. Combine milk and 1/4 cup butter in 1-quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat until butter is melted (4 to 7 minutes). Pour milk mixture over bread; let stand 10 minutes.
Stir in all remaining pudding ingredients. Pour into greased 1 1/2-quart casserole. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until set in center.
      Directions for Sauce:
Combine all sauce ingredients except vanilla in 1-quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until mixture thickens and comes to a full boil (5 to 8 minutes). Stir in vanilla.
To serve, spoon warm pudding into individual dessert dishes; serve with sauce. Store refrigerated

I won't suggest to copy content from other site, you would get penalty from both, Adsense as well as Google Panda!

Yeah right. You must be a bot because you keep giving lousy and incredibly
wrong information. But then, maybe that's your niche.

The direction text may be copyrighted, so watch that. If I was doing
recipes, I might make the actual recipe, that is the ingredients and
      quantity part, an image.

Title, h1, maybe directions, as text.

But is it Adsense safe if you put the original resource link where the recipe is taken?

    Thanks

You'll soon find out that the recipe niche has very low earnings (CPC). I had a recipe site for a while (few years ago), I dumped the whole site because the Ads all had a low CPC. That was my first taste of a lousy niche.

Also, those major recipe sites act like they're selling insurance, the competition is unbelievable for such a low paying niche.

How many pages your website had? If you had kept it, would it cover hosting and domain costs plus provide small revenue?

Curating is no problem as long as you give credit to main writer

If you copy the recipe from another website, it would be hard to rank that page in Google. Also you know the duplicate page issues. Also it might attract copyright issues. May be you can rewrite the content as vtotheyouknow said but not every content.

Lol, I can see it now, OP rewrites a bunch of recipes, instead of 1 TSP of salt we'll change it to 2 cups of salt, etc...

      Yummy!

        ROTFLMAO!

My thinking was put the recipe as an image, work off of some of the
        other text.

Adsense can be optimized differently than normal SEO. You want
        triggers without inane triggers.

Wikipedia is full of copied stuff, and plenty of websites copy it.

In fact, just go and copy wikipedia's cookbook.

You could do a niche recipe site rather than just a bunch of recipes.
You could toss in your variations, with videos, etc.

Perhaps low CTR, but if it's your passion, go for it.

Lol, I should make a new site called:
    recipes-for-people-that-suck-at-measurements.com
Next, create a bunch of off the wall DIY recipes with random ingredients/measurements.

Obviously have a comment section below each recipe for feedback.

Seriously, If your niche is recipes I found a US Gov database full of recipes a while back, I guess they're public domain (do the copyright research).

With 594 recipes, that's enough content for a complete site.

Recipes cannot be copywrited, but the way it is written CAN be.

Also, if you are copying exact content, I would imagine that Google will penalize you in terms of SEO if you have a site with no unique content.

If you can't pay for quality content the best thing you can do for yourself is get the information off the web and write it in your own understanding.

Another thing you also need to think of is how to rank your site.
If you have no traffic no matter the CPC (low or high), your earnings will be $0.00
and you will go about saying adsense doesn't work.
