Couple things about Adsense

A couple things about Adsense that have been bothering me...

1.) Does anyone know why traffic exchanges are against Google's TOS? Traffic exchanges take way too long if you don't have the leverage of referrals, but then again, Adsense barely supports my coffee habit, if I'm lucky...

2.) Does anyone like using Adsense sites? I used to always close out of those because I thought they were closed-down domain names (before I knew what Adsense was), but it really irks me when I think I'm going to get a content-filled website but instead I get a fancied Google page... does anyone actually generate money with these, and does anyone like clicking through them?

@moneysoapbox - Because you're aware of Adsense ads and how they look etc you notice them as 'ads' far more than a normal 'everyday' internet user that is looking for information. Adsense serves 'relevant' ads based on the content and now with the Dart Cookie have become interest based also, so Google is just giving the visitor what he/she may want. If the visitor is targeted it's likely to convert well for the advertiser, so it's not really about how much someone likes or dislikes how a site is made, it's more about relevance for the visitor. As a publisher it's in your interests to offer good content but not so good that they don't have a reason to do anything else but read your site.
