Adsense Fraud Protection Plugin

I ran across this the other day and was curious if anyone has tried this. It's fairly new. It's a plugin that protects your Adsense units through jquery to protect from malicious click activity.

I'm really surprised I haven't seen a plugin like this before, especially during the Adsense banning rampages that were going on a while back.

Does anyone have any experience with this plugin that they can share?

How do you know the plugin developer isn't skimming earnings/clicks?

I haven't looked at the source code, just asking.

I haven't looked at the source code either, but this is one of the thoughts that crossed my mind.

        I'm a bit confused...
How can the developer skim earnings/clicks?
Whats the idea behind this plugin at all?
If anyone can explain why anyone would need this that would be great...
Can you block IPs for adsense like you can for Adwords?
        Thanks

I would steer clear of any such nonsense. Too many
potential problems. After reading the description
and how it works, it looks like overkill. And I am
not sure it's fully withing adsense TOS.

Im, gussing here, but maybe the ads will dissapear after 2 or three page views from the same IP per day. Doesnt complete protect, because people can open in new tab thousands of times whilst staying on the same page, and you can do tat without the plugin anyway.

I myself never seen any plugin like this before, but I think it is really a necessity of time to protect against malicious click activity

      Hi guys,

i am the developer of the plugin and i can only suggest to have a look into the source code so you can see with your own eyes that the plugin does not make use of any malicious functions which could affect your income.

This plugin is running on one of malaysian´s largest websites with hundreds of thousands daily impressions very well.

@markrab yes, you can block and specify ips which should not see your ads.

@seonutshell I agree, a current problem are tabs which can be opened infinite times. Than it is possible to click on your ads which are shown in every tab opened page. To solve that issue there is a function which requests the database every few seconds if a user is blocked or not (polling). This function is very load intensive so i had to disabled it. I will offer it as additional external service within the next days, so the load of a customer server will not be affected. All check requests goes than to the external service.
As said it is very load intensive it will be offered for free for small websites and as a paid service for larger sites with thousands or hundred thousands of daily impressions.

All in all, the free version is reducing the risk of malicious and invalid clicks enormous, but because of the open technology html there is never a 100% safety.
