There are so many questions I want to know about Adsense and SEO, and those questions are:

1) Which business model is easier to start off? Adsense or SEO?
2) Can I do SEO and Adsense on the same website or page?
3) Is Adsense or SEO a dead business model?
4) As for the domain, is it Ok if my domain name is; e.g. Keivn2.com if I am targeting a general articles and information?
5) How many articles should I pump into my website for Adsense or SEO route? The more the better?
6) Is submitting articles to article directories still a legit move?
7) Will I able to succeed if I refuse to use blog commenting or web 2.0 tools?
8) Should I invest some bucks to buy tools in order to earn the first dollar?

As you can see, I had stopped doing any internet business since 2 years ago...I think...So, I am pretty much a newbie now.

I really appreciate if some of you guys can help me on my questions.

you mean SEO service?, you have plenty of competitors.
while Adsense is flexible, and the requirement is only QUALITY contents and nothing more.
buying tools is necessary and recommended if you have lots of projects, and ofcourse there are free tools to be use.

    I suggest, start digging.

    I don't really understand.

SEO is not a business model, it's a style of obtaining optimized traffic.

Are you confusing Adsense with Adwords?

Adsense- You put adds on your website.
Adwords- You pay for adds to be placed on google searches and competitor websites.

Hi Keivn2, In answer to question 3 I don't think for one bit SEO is 'dead'... However, without having a specific case or more context, it's difficult to advise on the most appropriate course of action, I believe. SEO does evolve of course so one has to keep learning about the latest updates and it certainly doesn't bring succcess overnight. I am not an expert but most of our business for our site comes from google.

    Thanks for you guys opinions.

How about the domain name? If I want to go for Adsense, is it OK for me to use not-targeted domain name (e.g. keivn2.com) or I need a specific web domain to earn money? '

Also, is submitting articles to article directories for backlink still work? I heard about this few years ago, but now I not so sure whether this move still works or not...

Article marketing is still effective for creating backlinks but the content should be unique and good. Currently, Google focus more on the quality of content. Another thing, don't post the same content in different article directory. Post one content to one article directory.

        Sorry for very late replies..:p

So, I guess "keivn2.com" strategy doesn't work if I am aiming for adsense? Initially, I am thinking to write a bunch of general information articles, which could be range from how to cook apple pie to how to treat your acne, in "keivn2.com".

To be able to profit well from adsense, your site must constantly attract quality visitors.
How do you get quality visitors?

        1. Buying quality traffic.
        2. Making sure your site is well ranked in search engines such as google (SEO)

So, before even considering getting into adsense and being able to profit from it, you need to either master SEO, get your sites ranked up or hire and SEO firm to do the job for you.

Just to give you an idea; to be able to get decent revenue from adsense, your site has to attract at least 2k visitors per day from search engines or major social networks.
Well, I am more leaning to adsense. From what I understood, isn't that adsense is something like getting the visitors to click on the ad in your website? Plus, I always under the impression that SEO is a landing page for the affiliate marketing, or I am wrong?

Also, I wish I could hire SEO firm to do that for me, but I am too poor to start anything. I am looking for something that easy to start off, so I can gain some money to forward the wheel.

From the very first day add quality content to your site, engage visitors, do SEO properly and regularly and then add adsense to your site after you have done everything according to Google adsense guide and after you have quality traffic. SEO is not dead and its not a business model. You can do it yourself.

SEO or PPC? Though PPC gives you good targeted traffic, for that you have to pay for it.. Other side, SEO can give you organic traffic if you are following proper guidelines.

Domain is only one aspect of running a profitable business. Even if you obtain a great exact-match domain, your website will not have guaranteed position on Google because today, dozens of on/off page elements play role to affect overall rankings of websites on search engines. By the way, I also believe you are mistakenly referring to Google AdWords and not AdSense because you look for ways of building traffic for your website.

SEO + Adsense is your business model. Learn them both and you will profit. Adsense is just 1 way to monetize a website, focus all your efforts into learning about SEO (real SEO - not rubbish web 2.0 backlinks or forum profiles) and you can profit in any niche, any time, over and over.
