What's with the fiverr SEO jokes? Are these guys scammers?

I just entered "seo" into the fiverr seach and obviously a lot of enticing stuff comes up.

But I've seen more than a few jokes about the $5 path to ranking your site #1 on Google through fiverr.

What's the consensus? Do these guys deliver as promised?

I see stuff like "40,000 guaranteed backlinks"... say WHAT?

What's the deal? Is there anyone who is legit on there, providing a decent services? What are some of the methods these guys are using?

Seems like the ones who post your stuff/articles on their blog networks would be the best bet.

Fever gigs can work great if you know how to use them in a proper manner. Make your own tiered link building strategy and use fever gigs to build your second or third tier...i think it will work good!

Your information is years out of date. It's right out of the Urban Myth School of Internet Marketing.

It doesn't matter. The point is that you can't tell what methods they're going to use, even if they say "manual", and the "review comments" mean nothing, because those are made the day the service is delivered, not 3-6 months later when the Penguin hammer drops and the site's de-indexed or heavily penalized for spammy/mass/automated backlinks.

Thats cute... Too bad writer88 is not wrong. There are far too many people aggressively ranking highly competitive markets using tiered networks to call it a myth. Not agreeing with, or not understanding how to turn-n-burn with disposable links doesn't make it a myth.

There are situations where disposable links are useful. Not useful in the sense that they are going to rank anything for any extended period of time, but you don't always need anything to rank for an extended period of time. In some situations you just want to force it to the top for a short burst, make some cash and dump it.

It's button pushing junk link blast to any web page on the net that can get an automated backlink (ex: public forums, blog post, etc...).

It's all junk & at $5 your paying exactly $5 too much.

Newbies buy those automated junk link blast because they think a large amount of links must be better (fail), when in reality a few high quality links would smoke that 40,000 backlinks.

I won't recommend to buy link building packages, however, you can buy other things like logo design, content, research work, designing etc.. if you find..

I always suggest not to trust or go for any fiverr SEO gig. It's useless, waste of time and waste of money as well. You can try out other paid techniques for SEO.

Don't throw them out entirely though. You can definitely get say a good post placed on a PR3 blog for $5.00. I'll take that if is the right site and the content is unique, etc. However, the 5000 link blast, pyramid, highrise, best link scheme since the internet started? Yeah, those are junk for sure and you will do nothing but HURT your site instead of help it.

It's legit, as in they provide what you pay for. so cant call it scamming in any way.

Whether it's good for your website or rankings is obvious a complete different story.
