Google Keyword Tool | Question about E-book research

Hello all,

My first post so go easy! And please advise if this was the wrong place to post.

I am researching the market exploring one or two ideas I have for an e-book.
I am predominantly using Google Keyword Tool, following up with searches for existing products on Amazon/Clickbank and so on.

My question is, the keyword results within the subject I am searching for often amount to under 10,000 global monthly searches which doesn't feel like a big enough market to justify the hard work I'd like to put in to the project.

But collectively, I could write a book encompassing a number of the related keywords & keeping my subject slightly broader. In this way, in theory I could attract people from different segments of the market.

Here's a hypothetical example. While "hamburger recipes" might not attract many searches, collectively the searches "American hamburgers" "Australian Hamburgers" and "Austrian Hamburgers" collectively might make up the numbers.

In an instance like this, can you justify the demand and write an e-book titled, for example: "American & Australian Hamburger Recipes, and other Hamburger recipes from the globe".

Just an example of course, just to illustrate the point/question.

Thank you and I look forward to engaging with you lots in the coming weeks as I find my feet!
