I'm a computer network guy and I see a lot of threads mention that you "ping" your website once or twice a week.

I just realized that it does NOT mean to open a command prompt and type the word PING followed by my website IP.

For the last two weeks I couldnt figure out how sending 4 small packets to my website would help it get more traffic...

I'm such a noob!!!!

    Ha ha... I am a verizon tech support and I am experiencing worst problems with customers daily that you do.. LOL

    Hopefully, you also figured out what "pinging your site" really means.

    That is - to ping a blog site using a blog ping service when new content has been added.
