Will Disavow links bring back my Google Ranking?

So, I was recently link spammed by a competitor.
I have managed to identify all new websites that are linking to my website that should not be. After this link spamming, I lost my rankings from Page 1 to Page 10.

If I was to disavow all of them, would this help my Google ranking?
I'm not expecting to go back to Page 1 overnight, but would it help?

Can't you try to talk to webmasters of the sites where those links are?

Google don't seem to be a very comprehensive entity. I would try that first if you don't have success even send the mails to google, showing effort to clean the stuff.

    Good luck

It's a good though, but a lot of the links I was spammed with seem to be from Adult sites or international sites who don't speak English, I don't really want to approach them.

Most of the links are not all the links. I know, it's unfair to do this job when it's not your fault. But from google i don't expect kindness and that's why i'm telling you to try to talk to those you can.

        As the disavow tool mention:

If you believe your site's ranking is being harmed by low-quality links you do not control, you can ask Google not to take them into account when assessing your site. You should still make every effort to clean up unnatural links pointing to your site. Simply disavowing them isn't enough.

But, did you receive a note from google on google webmasters tool?

If so, and the note is about unnatural links you are like i am. From what i read on the interwebz this will take months.

Do you have any good backlink to replace for removal links?

Can you run your site through a backlink checker? Find all of your backlinks and disavow all the crappy ones, then, submit a Google Reconsideration Request and explain to them what happened. I have personally done this for about 4 clients so far, all with great results. You will be surprised at how "not dumb" Google is. If you open up the communication with them, and do a little work, they will see that as a sign that you are concerned with your website and its rankings, and try and help you out. In an interview with Matt Cutts, Cutts says negative SEO is a waste of time and money, because it's so obvious to them when it's occurring.

How do you open communicationwith google?
I have tried to submit reconsideration request here but i think they do not read it and just send you automated reply if your site is in their index or not

Don't use disallow tool of google , it would be like letting google know that your website has bad link.

Well it has nothing to do with rankings. it will just removed all your bad links and then you have to replace them with new and authoritative links. been done that so many time but some links are still see by the google webmaster.

How do you know that you were link spammed by a competitor? How can you be sure it wasn't your own link building efforts that caused the penalty?

yes it will. if you have received a manual penalty you will also need to submit a reconsideration request and if you have been effected by the algo you will need to wait until the next penguin refresh to see improvement.

Yes, it'd help.. Google themselves recommends to disavow bad links and send reconsideration requests if you see a drop in your traffic after the recent webspam algorithmic update. many website owners have already done this and got back their rankings.

Listen guys, stop thinking too deeply about how Google will "feel" once you disavow links. Some say, do it, some say don't. But those who say "don't do it" say it because they feel Google will all of a sudden have access to pandora's box and every tiny particle of their backlink profile.

Well guess what everybody, Google offers free tools like Google Analytics because it helps Google collect data about your website and it's traffic. Google offers tools like Google Webmaster Tools so that they can track every single link that's part of the sites backlink profile.

It's very simple. Google is not taking any website to court and penalizing it because the jury said so. Google is penalizing your site based on facts, based on what a website has in their backlink profile. And guess what.. ..WAY BEFORE you disavowed any backlinks, Google ALREADY knew all of the backlinks you had tied to your backlink profile and that's why your website dropped!

CONCLUSION: The Google Disavow link tool has been developed because now, in 2013, the main focus isn't only about building a quality backlink profile, it's also about maintaining quality-control checks on your backlink profile due to many unethical tactics used by competitors. If you want to have the professional disavow any backlinks, use the guys over at Backlink Removal Service | LinkDelete.com. Ask for Tim, he's the man!
