Hi guys,
I am putting a new website online and I am very new to SEO so I wanted to ask you for guidance on it:
1. Should I concentrate on the SEO of the index page only or should I consider every single page as a separate one (different keywords, h1s etc..)
2. Would it be better to put a sitemap on or not?

Thanks!

    1. I suggest that you focus on all pages. Of course your main page will get the first priority but don't forget the others. I usually choose different keywords too, it's better that way.

    2. Yes, If your site has more than 1 page, then you should put up a sitemap.

also remember to use your internal link structure to share the link juice between your internal pages as well.. and set your privacy / about etc as nofollow

These days search engines also consider site theme by evaluating all site's pages so it is better to optimize all of your pages. However, you can use different keywords for each page.

Build backlinks on top authority sites that almost gets indexed every second like Digg and Propeller.

Also make a sitemap, it is useful to getting indexed. Focus more on your home than your other pages.
