With the updates Google has been making it appears that the push towards relevancy is taking over, and older SEO 'tricks' are quickly falling out of fashion.

It seems like Google is attempting to make it so that the 'every day' business will be able to better succeed in the market through natural progression (IE the higher focus on relevancy, more focus on social media, less power to back-links)

With that in mind, where do you think the state of SEO is going?

Its actually clearing out spam and allowing quality content to be out there.

I'd rather know my website contains a lot of quality people get good information form and then monazite it and make a profit with it.

Its easy, website > quality content > natural links > ranking.

SEO still alive. It won't die. But Google is only reminding us that give more focus on your website rather spending much time in creating back links and stop spamming..If your site is best and provide as much as information that people needs, it will definitely catch people's eye..
