Fake Reviews on Google

Hi,

I was wondering what are the pros and cons of posting fake reviews on my Google places account? Would you deem this to be good practice or SEO suicide. What is the best way of doing this? Obviously I should post them from different IPs but is there a problem if the GMAIL account are brand new?

I don't want any responses from people who are going on about the morality of this. I don't care.

Seamy, I don't see how this could possibly be deemed "SEO suicide" - for all Google knows, a competitor could be trying to hurt your brand by creating the fake reviews...

However, no, it's not exactly "good practice" if you'll simply be making up reviews out of left-field... morals aside, if you do a good job with the proxies, I personally can't see how Google would be able to tell.

If I were you, I'd speak to some customers you've worked with in the past and at least get a basic outline of their words to use for the reviews... that way, it's more like you're collecting the reviews and adding them to your local page for them - gives it legitimacy.

You can do that but make it looks like legit peoples did that not not seems to be damn "fake"

Use private dedicated ips and don't give reviews in a short period of time make it drip in a couple of weeks to months to looks more legit.

This is not tolerable. You cannot save your bread and butter by sending false reports. No employer is going to forgive the fakers. This is just a plan of loosing your job.
