Can I use free sites for building a pyramid?

Like linking everything to a free wordpress site (xxxx.wordpress.com) and from there have a link to my money site

    YES. not just wordpress. You can use blogger, tumble etc. Remember to add links to the free sites too.

      Do I need any content at all on the free target page at all? Is a plain site with a link alright?

        Oh dear. You should have a few pages of content on each free site you set up. Then you link from that content to your main site.

        And then, you build links to the free sites you created, with content. Then you build some links without content to those.

        IF you want to go down that road thats the jist of it.

    I hate that term Link Pyramid. To me when I think Pyramid, I'm thinking strong, will last 10 thousand years.

    When I think of Link Pyramid, I'm thinking, House of Cards getting blown down with the next Google storm.

    Yes, even high PR FREE web 2.0 blogs are best place for building links further if you have budget there are even many good softwares too available in market which can help you in doing the same or you can prefer to do it manually, its all upto you.
