Hello,
I have a site that ranks 12 in US google.com, but only 60 in google.ca for a term.I live in Canada, site is hosted in Canada, but the only thing i can think of is that maybe all the linking IPs are American?

Thanks

Are you trying to attract Canadian traffic? Over US traffic? Not sure if that is your concern. If so, you might want to set your Geo Target in WMTs, under your settings. If I remember, it defaults to the US.

  • Jinliang,

Are you using localized keyword phrases to try and rank for those terms? Do you have a .com or a .ca? If you want to rank better for local terms, you need to use the .ca domain. The venice update made local results better for users (among other things).

    More on that here,
