How to use hash tag, at symbol etc. in webpage titles correctly?

Hello guys,

I know things like: #, @, % etc. are all considered invalid characters and naturally assume they wont work in a page title(that is hard coded).

Can I simply use character code? and it will show the symbol in the title?

Or can't this be done?

Or is there a special way of doing so?

I want to achieve something like this:
