Keyword Ideas for SEO

Hi all I have a bit of problems when searching for keywords. For example if I want to promote Product name "X", the best keyword I find is "X review(s)", rarely if there is a "X discount" or "X coupon", but any of the of the long tail keyword in most cases it's search volume is very low.

Anyone have ideas about keyword research ?

    Are you just using google adwords tool or a keyword program? I use a paid program and have ok results from it.

      No I use the regular adwords can you recommend me a good keyword program ?

    You can also use KewordSpy. Put in your competitiors URL's to see what keywords they are using for ideas for your site.

    There's no shame in chasing the low-volume keywords.... the fact that you won't be battleing wiith X thousands of other rabid IMMer's for one out of the 10 spots means that you can essentially rank it and forget it. Wash, rinse, repeat a few dozen times and you end up with as much traffic as you would from a single "blockbuster" phrase, and you'll have a ranking pattern that is much less vulnerable to sudden changes.

    I cover about Google Keyword Tool and the new Keyword Planner in my post. In it, I only gave GKT a score of 6/10. There are much more better keyword tools out there.
