losing money on 7 search

Hello Warriors,

I am a newbie to the world of Internet Marketing. I have started with CPA email submit offers on 7search.

Till now I have spent around 42 dollars and made 7.60 dollars. All my campaigns were losing money so I stopped few of them and optimized few of them by removing keywords that were not getting any conversions after a lot of clicks.

I have been able to break even on 1 campaign but it is making me just 1.60 dollar for every 1 dollar spent and on this one also, i am getting 1 conversion on every two day.

I have read at many places that the traffic quality of 7search is very bad but also read that if you keep optimizing your campaigns and block non performing sub ids you can make it profitable.

Please give me your valuable suggestions whether I should stick with 7search or move on? And are people still making money with 7search PPC?

Thanks for the help!

It could be something as simple as targeting the wrong keywords - but based off the experience I've heard from others about 7Search recently, I'd stay away from them.

Yes, I've also heard 7 search is hard to monetize.

The most important thing is tracking. You need to be tracking down to each individual keyword. Paid traffic takes a lot of tracking, testing and tweaking.

You must realize that most paid traffic campaigns always start off losing money and that's why so many people don't do paid advertising. To succeed you need to have the budget and the patience to keep going with a losing campaign and turn it into a profitable one by getting rid of all the keywords, etc that are not making you any money.

I had the same experience. Thanks that I spend only the smallest amount. Money is still there but I can't withdraw it and it stuck. I picked a keyword with a high number of search but it it not showing... I just ignored them after 3 months of no result..

Sounds to me like you're direct linking those email submits.

That may have worked 10 years ago when the market was fresh, but people have caught on to what marketers do and and have grown immune to many tactics/offers.

You're gonna have to change things up a bit. Try either:

    A) Creating an offer-wall landing page with multiple email submits on it along with other similar higher-paying offers.

    B) Create a quiz-style landing page that keeps the visitor engaged and then gets to an email submit as the "prize" for answering the questions correctly.

      Thanks for the advice tooalive.
You hit the nail on the head. direct linking was what I was doing. The second solution has already got me excited and now I am thinking why I didnt think about it before!
Should the quiz be poll type and related to the offer? do i need to get permission from my AM for creating an offer wall landing page? And thanks again for giving such a valuable advice for free. I am loving this forum.

    Congrats you are making money!

If you are making money on an investment you have the potential to duplicate it. If i were you i would take a real good look at what is working for you and split test the hell out of it. Sometimes all it can be is one word or button placement.

My advice would be to find out where your conversions are coming from on the 1 profitable campaign. Get rid of whats not working to try to increase your profit. Granted it may only be .60 for every dollar but hey your in the plus.

Next simply keep trying to find new keywords, URLS, anything you can do to increase your profit. So what if your conversions stay at $.60 just send more traffic if its converting

    $100 spent = $160 revenue = $60 profit per day, per month????

Most CPA offers are very hard to make money off of these days. You're much better off promoting products/services with high commissions and recurring(monthly) billing. Just make sure to capture emails with a squeeze page!

I'd be glad to take a look at your 7Search campaign if you are not already having someone do that for you. There are many factors at play which ultimately determine if you'll generate conversions. The fact that you have is great and perhaps with some adjusting it can become even better. Let me know if I can help in any way. You can reach me any time, bstanley at 7search dot com.

Well, first things first, congratulations because you found an offer that actually converts, that is a powerful start and you can do more, but you must clean out the bad traffic by tracking your traffic sources with tools like prosper202. I found this post to be very helpful... all the best:

    • Don't use7 search and don't use email submits

they seem like they are the easiest right? lowest cost and lowest action, but those combinations are actually the hardest to turn a profit.

7 search traffic doesn't convert. If you continue down this route my prediction is you are going to quit - that's what most people do.

7search and email submits = failure

I'd go with Bing and a real product to start; you can direct link a lot more than you think

Join my mailing list (see signature) - soon I'm going to provide instructions on where to find information about direct linking using AdWords. That's really where you want to be anyway cause then you can scale.

  • I've also tried 7Search in the past, it never really took off for me. The traffic is of much lower quality than what you'd get from something like Adwords, couldn't even break even for the campaigns I set. Might work for certain types of offers, I donno, it just didn't for me.

There are keywords that cost almost $6 on 7search. No one would pay that kind of money if they didn't convert. 7search traffic is not of the same quality as google and bing, but if you sift thru it and optimize, you'll get there(they'll even help you do that). Plus, you can also look at it as cheap PPC training, if you are like the rest of us, you will fail lots of times before succeeding on any network. Just make sure that you do not bankrupt yourself in the process, you're not playing the lottery. And be thankful if you fail at 0.15 cpc instead of 1.5 cpc.
