I have posted backlinks as comments on Flickr pictures. My question is i used the dofollow tag when doing so and on the page Firefox doesn't highlight them as nofollow but when i use LinkDiagnosis they show up as no follow. I'm wondering which the case is? If they are do follow flickr is great for backlinks because almost everyone elses comments are nofollow and the pr ranges from 1-5 on pictures.

If you right click and choose "view source" then find your link, you can see if it's nofollow.

My guess is that they don't allow args like that to be put in the comments. Most big sites don't these days.

Alright, did that.. Now i'm even more confused. Here is the code
      Code:
      <a href="http : / /sbkreview . com" rel="dofollow" rel="nofollow">Sportsbook Review</a>

Anyone know the result of having both a dofollow and nofollow tag?

No such thing as rel="dofollow". It is either there or not and since nofollow is there, the dofollow was probably there to trick webmasters or something.

Yeah never heard of the "dofollow" tag personally.

I would say the nofollow tag would overwrite anything anyway.

I still recommend using Flikr, as nofollow isn't always paid attention to, and apparently Yahoo doesn't as much as Google - and Flikr is a Yahoo service.

Still worth doing for traffic and web presence - just don't expect massive ranking improvements.

LOL!!! We finally have some nonsense about dofollow in a link.

dofollow, do follow, whatever, is some made-up nonsense by people who
have no clue. It gets tossed around here like water.

There is no dofollow. People think there is for the reason above.

That tag would not be put there by any reputable company.

It would be put in a link by a user to try and fool a bot.
Aint gonna happen. A fake tag is not going to negate the
      nofollow.

I am amazed at the low-level of links people keep trying to
      crow-bar.

I am also amazed by the number of people who think there is
      a tag of dofollow.

You're style is kinda mean, but at the same time, you seem like an "I tells it like it is" kinda guy. I like it.

Actually, I was not referring to any person, but someone showing
rel="do follow" in an actual link. And not the someone, but the rel="do follow" part.

I knew eventually that tag was coming because it is so common to hear
people talk about do follow as if it is real.

I like your style because you are not afraid to ask questions, knowing you
may get some snickers, then moving on but still sticking around the WF.
We have all been snickered at. But we stick around and learn. This is
the best place I've seen as far as SEO forums go, where the average person
can pick up some pretty good stuff. Snickers and all.

Funny thing, I was not trying to be mean by that comment. I don't actually
          think of myself as mean.

go ahead and get some nofollow links anyways! why wouldn't you? a link is a link is a link. They all help. Just keep in mind that they'll all be coming from the same domain (flickr.com) so i'd grab a few for each of your sites and move on.
