Why google started to HATE me so Much ??? Did google punish my site???

My Software site (site that sells my commercial windows software) is on page one for most google.xx like google.it .nl ... but on page 3 on google.com
when searching from USA IP like using USA web proxy.

I can understand if google choose to punish me so they throw my site to page 3-10
but my site is doing well on google. anything other than USA (in most cases it is on position 2-7 on first page).
So this does not look like punishment.

On google USA most on page one is Cnet results (3 results from cnet!!! and 3 results from softonic.com about softwares like mine, 1 Youtube, 1 of wikipedia, 1 of webopedia and one commercial site)

Why google started to display 5 results from download sites on google USA?
Anyway, I am not even on page 2 where other commercial sites of software like mine are located.
My site used to be on page one of google usa for years.

What makes google to hate my site for google USA but like it for most of the other places.

Have you also noticed that google started to popup downloads site to page one recently? Cnet and softonic uses adwords - could be reason why google favor them in google USA? if this is the case then this is the end of the do not do evil thing.

    I am not sure what your software site is about, reviews downloads ?

    If think you need to make a reality check and say is my site really better then their?

    If you say yes, then you are probably wrong
    If you say no, then you should improve it.

    You can't compete with the best unless the are of the of the best.

      In the software bushiness you have a software and a site that describe the software.
      99% of the sites like this have index page, features page, download page, support page and purchase page.
      It is not a question of how has best site.
      For example, when you search for 'zip' you get winzip on page one but you can not say that winzip has a better site than other zip software that is located in page 10.

      As for software quality, well it is hard to reflect this in google search results.

    Where is your site hosted? Google is localizing results now so a site hosted in the US may seem like a better match than one hosted elsewhere for US users. As far as CNET goes that is one of the industries oldest and most trusted brands for downloads. A lot of people go there first because they trust that the software will not contain viruses or other problems.

      Maybe because CNET & Co have far more relevant results than your website? Also do you really think that you can rank on the whole world wide web like this? :rolleyes:

      edit: just went through the old lolthread. Set the geo tag to USA and get some SEO done on your website, no one is going to buy your software in indonesia/thai/pakistan etc anyway.

    If in SERP there are many pages of one site is being shown, then they would disappear in few days, it is not permanent ranking, they are there due to their own ability, may be the traffic of those pages have gone high, there are some changes on the site etc..

    This happens in most of websites now a days. Check your back links. Might few of your website links are not good ion Google eye.

    Punishment is when you go from page 1 to nowhere.

    If you consider slight changes like this in SERP, SEO isn't for you like Yukon said.

    Do the needful if it really bothers you.
