SEO is definitely not dead. I had an SEO firm for 5 years with about 20 clients. I gave up 2 years ago after rankings became very volatile. Basing a business on Google's "tests" and "tweaks" is not sustainable. Plus SEO work does not scale well.

Here's what I see working now: Youtube videos, link pyramids, LinkedIn profiles, high PR aged domains and EMD's. But who knows what tomorrow will bring. Be prepared for volatility and building a lot of sites.

I have read 10000s times SEO is read but still I can rank well my websites and I am happy that i donot care of such words... Hard work always pays if you do timely research and update your strategies with latest updates in Big G nobody can stop you ... May be you face problems a few time but its normal you are paying still ZERO to get rank as you are no in adwords

With new updates you just have to focus on your website content and the key phrases in you page title or in you web page content. Create quality baclinks from relevant websites if possible. And dont think that SEO is dead, its just a rumor.

SEO is not dead but its phase changed. Due to excessive poor quality of back links and contents, sites are affected. Always thing user point of view not in search engine. You'll definitely get good results.
