Hi,

Really confused with google algorithm updates and frustrated. I am here for your guidance.

Here is my website details :
Page rank : 6
Alexa rank : was in 17k before now in 19k
Spending on Adwords : quite a lot and got good conversions before. Now spending lots and lots but still getting less ad placement since the domain is too competitive.

About SERP details :
For my website main keyword, you can see the stats below.
Nov 9, 2012 - Dec 5, 2012 - 1st page (Position 4)
June 10 - till date - 3rd page
March 10 - 64th position (Guess it's a google dance)

My website SERP has been moved from 1st page to 3rd page. I dont know whats wrong with this. I am still building backlinks as before, but can't find the way to restore this.

I doubt i may be building more number of backlinks for my main keyword which might be considered as spam by Google.

Anyone experienced with this issue?
Is there any other factor which i have to look at?

Madly need your help. Each and every suggestion might help. Thank you!

What is the Google Dance? | Seo Nutshell

look into that. Its pretty common and made a comeback after penguin, or panda and can happen if you do any seo work, or to a new site.

      @seonutshell, I agree..

So you are saying its only because of Google dance? But my website is not new. It's about 10 years old :-(

Plenty of misinformation in that post. The idea of the Google Dance never went away in 2013. A bunch of shares, Tweets, or +1's will not make a site jump in rankings.

OP, your site has been steadily decreasing in ranking. That's not a dance. That's a loss of rankings, plain and simple.

I would guess you are either losing links or building crappy ones.

    Hi,
See there may be two reason behind this may be your reason For your decay in pagerank

First is your website is in "SAND BOX" or may penalized if it is in Sand Box than it will take minimum 15 days to 3 months or to check that your website is penalized or not.
you can file reconsideration request through Google webmaster tool to check is your website manually penalized or not.
For more query feel free to ask.

    - Make your website user/ search engine friendly
    - Start content marketing
    - Keep participating in communities/ groups of your interest
    - Try improving the quality score of your keywords.
    - Try top to bottom approach for PPC bidding
    - Segregate your ad campaign into various ad campaign and small-small ad groups. Keep your ad groups highly relevant.
    - Create 2 - 3 versions of your landing pages and try A/B testing
    - Launch a re-marketing campaign to capture the lost customers
    - Don't try to build links, links and only links. Try building connections
    - Start a page of some interest (relevant to your business) and keep posting interesting and relevant stuff which could attract more and more people
    - Try small - small polls of interesting topics

    @topsint, Its absolutely true.

When i check with online google sandbox checker, i says "your website is still in google sandbox"

I am not clear with sandbox concept. If i submit reconsideration request, can i get my rankings back?
