How long for Google to Detect Backlinks

Hi,

I obtained 4 decent PR4 links from different sites about 10 days ago (the sites themselves rank/have a good backlink profile etc). My site isn't in a particularly hard niche so I expected these to do the trick but I've not really seen any results.
How long do people find it normally takes for 1. Google to pick these links up and 2. To see results?
They don't show in Webmaster tools at the moment either. If it makes any difference a couple of the links are from .co.za domains as this is where the site I have is based.

    When Google find your links then it will rank your website accordingly after factoring all their algorithms.

    You can speed up the process of Google finding your links by pinging.

    Do yo mean sites or pages because sites don't have PR? The link has to be on the PR4 page.

    You could ping the Page that links to you.

    Are the links on a RP 4 domain or page? Because only page matters.

        Your sarcasm detector might be broken.

        I'd guess Google would notice the backlinks in 2-3 weeks or something like that. Is that's your desired effect - being able to see that you've been linked from those websites? Or what are you looking for? What's the trick you're after, and what should be the result?

        It's always good to have decent backlinks, but I wouldn't expect drastic and quick changes in SERP positions. If it happens, good for you, but unsearchable are Google's judgments and unfathomable their ways.

    Roughly it may take up to a month in case of slow crawling sites. To speed up the process just ping those pages having backlinks.

    Again, not all backlinks can be seen using backlink analyzing tools.

    Result can become visible from 2sec and beyond (months)
    and based on your strategy coupled with the type of links
    you are using..

    If am building backlinks to my site i don't stop until i hit the ladder.

    If you want to stop, check and wait for result then it might
    take eternity. It's always important to be prepared for your campaign right
    before you develop your site.

    When Google crawl that website page on which you put your anchor text and create backlink for your website. Once it crawl it is possible you can get the backlink from that domain...

    I really depends how often the site is crawlled, is the page a new or old page, is it already indexed, can it be easily be crawlled, omg so many factors. I seriously would not worry about it and move on with something else.

    to make it faster or for your baclinks to show up on time in Google, ping and keep pinging, as well as post them on G+. what you should be doing is just to look for sites that get crawled by google always then post the links there, this will make them get indexed faster.

    Are you sure that those domains are NOT banned by Google and other Search Engines... If they are not and everything is OK, just be sure to ping those websites/blogs!
