Hello Everyone,

Is it OK to sell links in a blog site? If link selling is not according to the guidelines of Google then what Backlinks.com is doing. Should I register and start selling links Backlinks? Are the blog owners permitted to sell links in blogroll? My site is 1 year older but I have never earned money by selling only links on homepage or other pages such as links in blogroll. Should I earn money this way? Please give your valuable suggestions.

Thank You

Like you said you're not "supposed" to sell links, it's against their TOS. But of course, that never stops anyone from doing it because everyone is out there to get money. And having a high PR link will probably help your site out a lot (until/if the link you bought don't get caught on Google)

I'm not saying you should or not, it's a calculated risk. If you're trying to make some money and you're not and you don't see it anytime in the future, you could give it go since you have nothing to lose and chances of your site being penalized for it is slim since it's only a single site.

But what's the PR of your site? The lower it is, the harder it'll be to probably find a buyer/cost less.

As per the Google TOS, if you want to sell links then it should be of NoFollow type.

Why do you people never quote google completely?
Is it because you just repeat from some parrot guru who
      said something? Without actually reading?

Google said it is not good to buy or sell links....to shmooze PR.

Now there are a whole lot of ways to do that without google
even thinking it's to shmooze PR.

Now google is not some Wizard of Oz. They have no idea whether
a link is paid for, let alone to just raise "PR." But they can make
assumptions. So, don't give them a reason to think that YOU are
selling or buying links to shmooze PR.

And anyone who sells links, should know WTF they are doing.

I have gone over this before, but here are just a couple of tips:
Don't buy a sitewide link. Put the link as the only link in an article
that fits. What's funny, is that is EXACTLY how google tells you
they think a link is paid !!!!!! If right smack in the middle of
an article you have on basket weaving, you suddenly have:
Student loan consolidation made easy...that's a BIG tip off!

But if in the article on basket weaving you have:
here's page that teaches how to make rounded edges...
B I N G O! SO be very careful as to what article you buy
      a link in.

If google really could tell about every paid link, then nobody would
ever link to anybody else out of fear.

Remember that both sites get penalized, PR-wise for buying and
      selling links that shmooze PR.

Every page that's indexed, will help raise PR, all things being equal.

There is nothing illegal about selling links. Can you do it? Sure. Should you do it? Only you can answer that. At worst your site will be deindexed in Google. The decision is yours to make and there is no right or wrong answer. You know the benefits, and you know the potential downside, now do whatever you want.

Yes, Google don't want you buying links that why they invited
Panda and Penguin from slumber to take control of the spammy web.

Your only job now remains to play safe and remain undercover.

The only white-hat way to sell links is to add a nofollow tag on each one so that you don't pass PageRank.

You can try selling links and go against Google, but when they drop your rankings in the next update, don't cry about it.

Text Link Ads publishers got hit big time recently and most of them have jumped the ship. Even Text Link Ads is trying to change now with this whole "Media Wiz SEO" thing they are doing on their website.

Yes it's okay to sell. As these smart people have mentioned before though, just do it in an intelligent and discreet way to benefit the source of your newfound income. Also do not include a link about Student Loan Consolidation in the middle of an article on basket weaving lol.
