Bounce Rate Dropped More Than 40%

Hi, today I noticed that my bounce rate has dropped dramatically for the last week.

The thing is I don't know should I be happy or worried about it, because I haven't installed no new plugins that could influence my bounce rate and it's also highly unlikely that people started enjoying my site so much.
Some changes that I recall doing in this period of time was to install a plugin called Smush.it for image optimization and I also changed how I approve comments that I have to approve every comment unless the person has a previously approved comment so, maybe this has somehow influenced the spambots.
Now, I also worry that I might be hacked and that someone installed a redirect on my blog or something.

Any ideas from more experienced people?

Check where your traffic is coming from and which traffic sources accounted for the change in bounce rate. You might just find that you are getting more targeted traffic than you were in the past.

I use analytics but asking the world to have the latest version of java installed and turned on is a bit much to ask just to get to reporting.

Oh thanks I think I understand now, it's, because I installed Google Analytics on my pop up, probably will take it off so that it wont skew my results.

Wait... doesn't less bounce rate = better?

100% bounce rate = 100% of your visitors are leaving immediately.

    Someone correct me here.

Maybe because you installed Smush.it your site now loads faster so people are having a better experience and so they're sticking around longer and digging through your site a lot deeper?

They either like your site or they get stuck on a browser exit popup.

As your are showing the result the bounce rate it would be batter, because lower bounce rate is equal to ,site is becoming popular. My friend say here , if you want to see the exact result then go in analytics tool and check since when your bounce rate is low , where from the users are coming this time. You will come to know all the things very easily

Bounce rate will be always lower is better, around 40 to 60% is enough.
