Can I delete a post on one website and put it on another safely?

Dear Warriors,

I'm in the process of putting two sites together. To make a long story short, I started to make two sites in different languages and I decided to put them together.

Now I already posted two articles on the site I am not going to use. When I remove those posts and put them on the website I am going to use, will Google somehow perceive this as a double post?

Thank you in advance.

Cheers,
Tijs

I wouldn't give it any thought - just do it and move on.

I see no issue with that. The old post will eventually fall out of the index anyway.

  • Tijs,
If you are talking about duplicate content, you don’t have to worry about this, especially if the old page is something that you don’t need anymore. I would just move the post to the other page and redirect the old URL and you should be fine.

    Hope that helps,

    Shawn

No. Once you deleted the articles, it will be erased from Google's memory. Go ahead and transfer the articles.
