Offer doesn't allow ppc traffic but competitors are....

I recently found a offer which i was interested in on google adwords, i noticed there's about 3-4 sites which have the offer on their webpage which they promote via ppc. I signed up to the company who has the offer, and on their conditions page they clearly state NO SEARCH MARKETING. I emailed them telling them that there are sites on google adwords promoting the offer via ppc, they sent me back a generic reply. I was wondering how do they get away with this, and how could i promote this offer without them finding my traffic is coming from pay per click traffic?

Most likely, they are using a "Review Site" which has more than one offer. It is probably a gray area with the networks, but technically (if that is what they are doing), they are not using search to send traffic directly to the offer. The links for the offer just happen to be on the page where the traffic lands.

The bigger issue is probably "who" is sending the traffic. If a marketer sends "quality - converting" traffic (and most likely in massive amounts), it is my guess that most Advertisers are going to look the other way.

If you are new to that offer / network, I would be very careful about violating their TOS until they get to know you.

Just two cents! Hope that helps.

yeah your right they are using review sites, with other similar offers which allow which you can promote via ppc. So yeah its a bit of a grey area.

Generally, this means that you cannot send traffic directly to the merchant from your PPC ad, but I would need to read the whole TOS to see if this is what they mean

The traffic will be coming from your site. How will they know how you acquired the traffic?

Yes, cloak your links using T202 - the referrer is not passed.

However, they may ask about your traffic sources. It would be prudent to have an answer ready for them.
