How to get more traffic from Images

Hello Everyone and thanks for Advanced,

I have automobile website, but they have almost 1000 images on website, i have alt tag each images and hyperlink to our webpages too... but my images are not ranking what wrong with that anyone can suggest me regarding this..

i would like to rank my images on search engines, it is proper in PHP based website but i think its not SEO friendly website, it is just User friendly website,

Will anyone suggest to me how could i create it as SEO friendly...?????

    Let me share what I personally do on my business website in terms of getting ranked on Google Images as well.

    1. Since every blog post I have has a featured image, I use the title of my post as the filename of that image.
    2. Since I install WordPress SEO by Yoast WP Plugin, I make sure there's something written in the Meta Description part. Then, I copy that same meta description in to the description part of the image I used as a Featured Image.

    Please note that my primary keyword is mentioned both in the title and in the meta description.

    Also, make sure that you're using the "right" keywords. But that's a different story.
    Switch to a WP-based site, too, if you wish.
