Google Webmaster clean and search traffic cut by half

Hi Folks,

I know this is a difficult subject, but it never hurt to ask...

My websight had his traffic from search engines cut by half for the last 3 days. from 7000 to about 3500 per day, and I don't know why. There is no alerts or warnings on google webmasters, and I've never used any type of black hat link bulding or anything like that.

Does someone have a clue of what could cause that or where should I look for?

The website is Download do banco de dados CEP 2013 e Busca de CEP dos correios e endereços do Brasil

Thanks in advance

Are you using Google Analytics, or some other statistics tool? If so start by identifying where the drop in traffic is coming from. Take a look at the total number of searches coming in, is it coming from your main keyword(s)? Are you seeing a drop off in long tail keywords? Maybe a competitor entered the market and you're losing your long tail keywords to them. It could also be possible that your ranking fluctuated a few days during the month which caused the drop. It coudl be a number of things, learn how to use the analytics to deep dive into your statistics and you should be able to pinpoint exactly where the gap in traffic is.

      Thanks Aberrant.

      I use Analytics.
The problem is that I rank for hundreds of keywords, and on analytics 80% of that shows as (not provided), so is difficult to know what keywords is really ranking good.

Most of my SEO efforts are not based on a specific keyword, my site have more than 1 million pages, all of them correctly mapped on google webmasters. The few keywords that I use to check personally for positioning have dropped 1 or 2 positions at most.

I don't know if it is normal to have this drops of traffic from time to time. The site have about 9 months now and I've never experienced it.
