Software that automates google SEO algorithm changes?

Sorry the title might be a little confusing, as I'm not totally sure what to call these aspects of SEO.

During my process of seeking out education on SEO, i've been finding that some of the information I'm getting is incorrect. For instance, the book I'm reading was printed in 2012, but failed to mention that Google hasn't counted keywords meta-tags since 2009.

I was talking to a girl recently who works for a local telecom that just opened a facet of their business that creates and manages websites, and SEO for small to medium businesses for a fee...But the most interesting part is that she mentioned that their platform uses a special piece of software that automates any updates and changes according to google's changes to their SEO algorithm. So I guess what she means is that (for example) if Google stops counting keyword metatags, the software will either erase the keyword meta or give you a pop up message letting you know? I couldn't confirm because she only just sells it and isn't too tech-savvy.

...But my question is this, have any of you ever heard of anything like this? Does this software exist? And is it a commercially sold product?

Considering Google makes daily changes to its algo, and never releases any real tangible info regarding anything to do with their algo.
I'd say your being sold up the river in a typical sales fashion.

I just used the term "algorithm" in an attempt to be as descriptive as possible.

Is there any kind of service or software out there, that can automate all the latest SEO updates and/or guidelines?

No! There is no such software. As Kevin pointed out, G does not tell anyone what changes they make in their algorithm and G changes the algorithm at least slightly every day.

If you want to become a billionair overnight, figure out exactly what G's algorithm is, how it is changed every day, then create the software, and sell it. But, honestly, it ain't goinna happen. G's algorithm is more guarded than Ft. Knox.

The girl you were talking to is full of crap or completely misinformed. Google rarely releases anything more than very general information about algorithm changes. It would be impossible for anyone to create the type of software she is talking about.

I feel like you guys are still stuck on the use of the word "algorithm" so I'm going to try to rephrase just so I know I'm clear.

Back in 2009, Google decided to stop counting keyword metatags. However I didn't even find out until Summer 2013. Is there some sort of software or platform that would have been able to update me on that or automatically make changes to a site accordingly?

No. There is no such software. She was either an idiot or full of crap.

As far as keeping updated on that kind of stuff, it's a matter of following the industry. Follow what Google says. Check out sites devoted to SEO news and discussions, etc.

Thanks...Yeah I guess you guys are right. Logically I can't see this "software" would even work, I just wanted to make sure because I'm new to all this stuff.
