Trouble with backlinks.

Hey all,

I am starting my backlinking campaign for my E-Commerce website and I need some insight.

So far I have:

Submitted two articles to ezine. (2 months old)
Created a Facebook page. (3 months old)
I have about a dozen Facebook likes so far.
Nearly every page on my website links to another page.

I used a few backlink checkers today and the results were that I had (zero) backlinks. How is that even possible?

I used AHREFS aand a few others.

  • Heartlandpet,

Those are ok methods but you should use some other ones too that may be a bit more involved. For example you could reach out to other website owners and collaborate on guest posts for a blog. You could create an infographic and entice people to share it. Forum posting is another way to get more links. Definitely keep up with the social media and try to get more people to share your content.

    Hope that helps,

The thing that I don't understand is why there are no backlinks from the two Ezine articles that have been posted for a couple of months.

Backlink checkers do not have the whole internet indexed. At best, most of them are going to show you about 20-30% of your total backlinks most of the time.

OP, why don't you just use YOUR OWN stuff for SEO and then move on to different approaches when needed (if needed...)? I mean, unless you're targeting HUGE markets (and for that you need money/funding/long term plan), you can take position with YOUR OWN site/blog + content flow + internal linking...

People make good money selling to the rich. But the rich got rich selling to the masses.

OK look 20/30% of back-links will be indexed, but if you want your back-link registered there is a method...
