Hello Warriors' I have a question and I would like to hear your opinion, if you have a site ranked onto top position of Google for some competitive term and you use on your page scarcity in order to increase sales it could be affiliate offer you are offering or discount for product if they make a purchase in the next 20 min or so, Scarcity is word-press plugin that you set time count-down for example 20 min left before discount offer expire and if visitors don't make a purchase in the next 20 min offer will expire and they won't get offer or discount price if if they don't purchase, Scarcity also create sense of urgency to force visitors to make a purchase in order to get your offer before offer expire..What do you think can this get you in trouble with Google because they will know whole reason is to make affiliate sale..

Would appreciate for your opinion on this...

Don't know about the plugin, but I inserted a snippet of code that automatically changes the date on a certain page on one of my sites - I ended up losing 2 positions in the SERP's. Removed the code and I regained those 2 positions.

My guess is that the plugin could probably hurt your rankings!

I've been running some php code to change the date to always be todays date (like news sites do on their index page) & I haven't had any problems ranking those pages. If all the plugin is doing is showing plain text numbers, I don't see a problem.

OP, look at your Google Cache (text version), you might not even have anything from the plugin showing up on your page/s for Google to see (ex: javscript plugin (hidden text)).
