What are your thoughts on semrush

Most of my online marketing has been with AdWords, Overture (back in the day) and overall paid search. I am trying to understand SEO a bit more along with some of the strategies that are working. I feel as though semrush offers a lot of the same tools that I can use within my AdWords account with the exception of the backlink reports. I would greatly appreciate feedback as I am not sure if I want another monthly bill.

Also if I do not continue to use semrush is there a free backlink reporting tool?

    From my experience - not very accurate and outdated data. I bet there are better tools than Semrush.

      Currently I am using the beta version which is live, but again I am more so looking for a free toll to see competition backlinks.

    It is true that is not very accurate, but I have found very good keywords there and I am still using it sometimes.
