i have read many seo products, that contradict each other. i would like to ask does it hinder your seo if you add a dash in an exact match domain?, i have found this sweet keyword that has weak competition. or should i just pick a exactmatchdomain.biz , exactmatchdomain.me.

The domain is only part of the battle. IT basically depends on what you do after you buy the domain. Do you have a general system for getting links to your new domain?

30k foot overview, you need diversified links to your site and targeted high page rank (pr4-6) links to your site and you should see noticeable improvements in ranks. You will also want text, images and video on the site, a site/video sitemap and sturctured data seems to help rankings too

Doesn't make any difference, until you dont need the brand marketed.

Brand names are unique and they are totally different from SEO domains. The domains that you have mentioned are for SEO purpose and it does not make any difference, whether it has "-" or not.

Dashes do slightly lower your chances of ranking. Also .com/.org/.net are most ideal. If you are going for the brand, by all means - go for it! But if you're trying to rank a niche site... avoid dashes and misc tlds.

If you are looking for keywords in your domain for SEO purposes then only go with a .com .net or .org

Dashes do not hurt you in any way in the eyes of google. Personally I don't like using them but lots of people do with no issues.

In my opinion It will be better to go straight without any hyphens, but one thing is very clear that it don't hurts your seo efforts.

If you want to make a brand name then i suggest you not to go for dashes/hyphens in your domain name..

If you are really into getting that EMD, then go with the .biz and .me

On the other hand, I would suggest not to think too much about your domain name as it plays such a small role when ranking your website on Google.

Exact match domain still works and i can see still many with - sign still ranking too.. But EMD actually gets often faster over optimization issues
is the drawback of using them.

buddy in short it does not effect. Google dont have any dificulty in dashes of domain name , yap it can effect esthetic look of domain but search engines looks for different factors not domain dashes, if you have unique quality content regualar update , natural link building , proper on page optimization , then you can be on page one with no question but it needs tim , not a one night show

In my opinion with all the recent changes in google I would try to think more of a brand name. Having some element of the keyword that you are trying to target in the domain can help but there are so many other factors that will influence your position.
