Panda 2.0 Recovery !?

Hello everyone,my website lost half of the traffic after panda 2.0,after a long time researching I noticed that the reason for the big G slap was basically the links that I had to my pages,my content is really good, each page has at least 600 words trying help the user, each page has also video and images, and the layout of the website is clean,I'm not using any spammy adsense ready layour theme.

Here is the question,I don't want to loose my website content,is that OK if I change the URL name?,is that going to clean the page history ?,for example:

domain.com/KW = 400 spammy links
domain.com/tips-of-KW = same content but new URL.

What you guys think about that ?

Sorry if it is a stupid question,I have been trying to learn SEO for only 8 months,I learned a lot after panda 2.0 update.

By the way,my root domain has just 21 Backlinks, which in my opinion is totally safe after 8 months building this website which has over 57 pages.

Thanks !

Hmm im not 100% sure if maybe you will receive errors from backlinks linking to a broken url. But I can also see why you think it may delete the history of the page since the backlinks are linking to a dead page. Nonetheless , the domain name is still in the URL, so i don't think its that easy.

If its just 21 links ... they why not remove them manually ?

Im interested to see what others will say

Hello AriSEO Savva, basically only my root domain has 21 links, each page of my website has at least 100 links, some pages has over 600 links ,I'm pretty sure that was the cause of the drop in the SERPs.

I just used the disavow tool, hope that helps,Thank you for your help as well.

Did Google webmaster tools send you an e-mail about the links?
    Is your website unranked?

If not, sometimes Google devalues links, and they no longer help you, this doesn't mean your website was penalized.

You can block Google in robots.txt and remove your website from Googles index in the webmaster tools. Not sure if that is going to help you or not.

Hello PBScott,I didn't receive any messages,my pages are not unranked,50% of the pages of my website droped around 3 pages on google.

When I created the website,I didn't understand SEO,now I have a pretty goood idea, some pages just need 20 Backlinks or less to rank, and I created around 200 Backlinks per page, now I know that can be considered spammy,I just deleted all the links on my website, basically my website is in spanish, and all my backlinks were not related with the website,I decided to delete all the backlinks to start over again.

      Thanks for the Answer.

My suggestion would be to leave it alone for a month or so and see what happens.

Google operates in waves, to give you an example, I have 6 main sections on my website, every month or so one of them gets some time in the sun and then drops down for a bit as another gets its turn.

Also my whole website goes up and down at times, and I have even spent a couple of weeks de-indexed over the years, but then things go back to normal after a while.

The websites that link to you may have been the ones devalued, or maybe the ones that link to them etc... and that might have cut off the power to your website a bit. Since you got no message from Google, there is probably nothing you need to do to change your website.

I would recommend to stay away from short cuts unless your goals are short term.

Just keep calm and carry on....create quality content, and share.

We put a lot of the same articles from our site on all the top articles sites like ezine with a link back to the original.

I guess its time delete and close these articles/accounts?

Also will use the noindex tag for about 200 pages of product descriptions that have been copied from suppliers.(Will rewrite gradually)

For your info our xml sitemap shows 2350 submitted and 1700 indexed.

Please tell me if this is the correct thing to do and also if doing too much anti panda stuff too fast could also give you a penalty!!

Many thanks and hope you can point me in the right direction.

Removing the links manually would be a better idea than using the Disavow tool since Google may take weeks to read the file. If you can remove the poison yourself it's better and it's not Panda, it's Penguin

A lot of people focus on LINKS. But maybe they're blind to the real article, which is poor CONTENT. It's easy to blame links, but blaming your own content takes more conviction.
