Hi Guys,

For some reason my website is no longer ranking as it used to. I went through some down-time which lasted 4 days, had to switch hosting provider.

Now that I'm back up, my unique visitor count seems to be back to normal, & while I still get visitors for my more popular posts, the posts aren't ranking for the long-tail keywords I'm using.

Usually when I added a post It would generally start ranking quickly with the chosen long-tail keyword, now while the website is indexed, it doesn't rank at all.

The only changes that occurred are I am using a different theme, and using the Yoast Plugin vs the All In One SEO which worked well for me, but I heard great things about Yoast..

I can't pin point If it's the SEO Plugin causing it, theme or the downtime that occurred? Appreciate any help and tips =)

You've had 2 drastic changes to your site, down time (4 days) & changing your theme. Unless you've made it a point to have all the same internal links on both themes, there's a chance the theme (internal links) could be adding to the problem of pages dropping in the SERPs.

Thanks for reply. Will it eventually start ranking? I've already fixed the links for all my posts so they are the exact same as it were for the older theme..

It's a strange issue, because despite having the green light with Yoast SEO for my latest posts they still aren't ranking.

The theme I'm using is TypeGrid, the old theme was actually a free one. TypeGrid has great ratings, and appears to be designed and coded well. I plan on using my own designed theme in the future (I'm a Web Designer) but for now I'd like to use this..

If anyone has any insight on why my new posts aren't ranking, would love your advice..

    Thanks
