Please, Can You Help Me to Understand Why my Site is Ranking So Badly?

Greetings,
I'm writing this post in order to ask you, if it's possibile, to help to understand why my mini niche affiliate site is ranking so badly.

I'm trying to rank the main url of my site, where there is the main keyword in the url and in the article.

=> These are the details of the site:
- 5 articles (included homepage), each targeting a different keyword
- outsourced articles are 800 words length
- the site is using rich snippet data (for stars and authorship)
- the outgoing links are all masked with prettyprint lite plugin (except for wiki pedia)
- the keyword density riported from seobook is as follow, including title, meta keywords, meta description (my main kw is the plural)

=> The actual situation for my site about the backlinks is:
- at the beginning i used some social bookmarks
- sent some press release
- drip fed some social signal from g+, fb, pinterest
- actually i'm using:

+ seo maximus (for drip fed backlinks), with a distribution of anchor text as follow:

main kw: 15%
related kw: 41%
partial/full url: 19%
generic kw: 26%

+ socisynd (for social backlinks e some social signals)

the questions are?
- why am i doing so badly?
- what should i check, what should i do, i don't understand?

now i'm trying to setup an account on pinterest to get some traffic, but it takes time and i tryed to use video, but my account was banned (i don't understand because i did an informative powerpoint slideshow, showing benefits of the product), so i don't know how to get traffic :-)
