Hey everyone. I have a another new website which is around 1 month old, it has 5 pages and 10 blog posts, some current page 1 rankings on Google, Yahoo and Bing "BUT" my big hard hitting traffic keywords from my home page have vanished of the face of Google.

I have been targeting 5 keywords in Google for the homepage and all 5 were in the top 10 pages in Google.

I have done some "VERY SLIGHT" off page SEO, but I know this has not made any difference what so ever.

But my main question, does this seem like Google dance to you and does it effect "some" keywords, considering I have blog posts ranking on page 1.

Will my rankings appear higher than before?

Thanks
#dance #google

Yea, the keywords will be going up and down for a while. After couple weeks or months they will become more stable. But there will be big hikes and big drops happening.

Happens to my companies website page all the time. Just do everything legit and you should be fine. The Google dance is completely normal.

May be your articles were highly shared on social platforms which resulted in ranking, but later on dropped in the recent update on 23rd?

I'm not sure, I had the home page set as recent blog posts but then decided to change it to a static page, 2 days after, the page gets ranked with 5 different keywords and then a week later ranks increase then there gone suddenly and have been gone for around 3 days now.

      Just getting worried.

I hope so, I can't even find any keywords within the first 500+ results using long tail pro.

The same happened to some of my keywords a few days ago and doesn't seem to want to come back. However, the same URL pops out first for some other keywords. The site itself is about 1 months old. I don't understand how this can happen. Going form #1 to nowhere overnight, with no backlink spamming or any other no-good techniques.

How about some FREE unique handwritten articles for your website, blog, SEO, guest posts, etc?

Yeah, well I'm looking at my Google webmasters for the site and they "say" that my site is improving in rank but when searching I can't find my URLS that are meant to be ranking, very weird..

I have videos on page one in certain states, not ranking a single bit in others. There's a site I did that has 40 backlinks on page one for the site owners state, and on page 3 in my state. These are all national b2b keywords. This is crazy.

Google used to rebuild its rankings, and as a result of this rebuilding, rankings of Web sites on Google's SERP may fluctuate in order during a several day period. The "Google Dance" would happen anywhere up to 36 times per year.

Yeah, well the homepage was recent blog posts, then I decided to use it as a static homepage instead to rank for high searched keywords.

The page is well optimized and after 2 days google crawled it and indexed the page and all my keywords were ranking in the top 10 pages, after a couple more days, they all disappeared suddenly and each day I have been doing a search for them but long tail pro can't find them at all in the top 500+ results.

It's been a good few days now, hope they come back strong, the site is only 1 month old too.

All my content is 100% unique on all pages and blog posts and I never use any black hat stuff. I recently made some guest posts to a couple "High PR" blogs and linked with the websites URL to make it look natural.

I only ever backlink to good trusted sites with high PR, the site only has about 5 high pr links in total pointing to it.

Also, I have some blog posts ranking on page 1, so it's just my home page keywords which have went walkies lol

Ranking is very dynamic, perhaps its the freshness which influenced your site to be placed on ranking during the first crawl. Did you also checked on your competitor sites on the particular keywords you have targeted? If you ranking goes down but you have fully optimized the homepage I can only think of two things: the backlinks you made, the strength of your competition.

I have very little competition, so thats not a problem, I have made a few backlinks from high pr trusted sites which is also good.

I think the entire search results are being shuffled around to keep internet marketers on their toes

I have just checked my rankings and my site is ranking in all the top 10 pages in Yahoo and Bing for my homepage keywords but still can't find them in Google.

I have noticed most people get the Google dance and they see there rankings moving within the top 300 results, mine have not been in the top 500 for about 5 days now since I check them on a daily basis.

Does anyone think that the homepage may have been penilized by any way?

I still have blog posts ranking on page 1 of Google, so it's kinda weird.

    Anyone?

For me it has actually been the opposite. I had inner pages ranking on page 1 for my main keywords and then my home page started ranking for them on page 2 and my inner URLs dropped off the map.

In the same week I added my website to the Google + business page so maybe that had something to do with it?

I'm not sure, I have not yet added my Google+ but I have added RSS, twitter and facebook fan pages to the site.

I have never had this before, it's weird with blog posts ranking but homepage keywords just going missing.

If you are in Google dance then building some trust links would help stabilize the ranking as well.. you can build few links from authority sites they would be counted as trust links..

You website is just one month old, don’t get panic be ready to accept Google Dance. Knowing ahead of time that this is in all likelihood set to happen may as well help take a percentage of the throb out of the spank and not send you into frenzy.

Simply be patient and the Google dance will close. Keep adding fresh contents on a regular basis, do social bookmarking and build backlinks.

Yeah, it's just weird how I can find rankings in Google.com but not Google.co.uk which is more of my target market too.

I am building high PR backlinks from blogs which is helping me push up the Google.com search engine.

Just want to see it ranking in the UK.

    Mate,

Your site is 1 month old. What do you expect ? It's quite common that rankings flux a lot in the first 3 months, in some rare cases it could take even 6-12 months to fully settle down (high competitive keywords).

Just wait, build links, don't forget to engage social and relax.

Unless you do blackhat, you need to wait a bit. It takes some time for google to (re)evaluate your site in the SERPs. Once you have enough quality backlinks, social shares, great content etc it will stick in both google UK, COM, CA etc..

I remember when I made my first completely whitehat site. At first I was 22, then out of 100 for a week, then in top 10 then 30 etc.. Finally I managed to get a steady page one rank. It was there for few weeks until, BOOM in top 3. And it haven't moved since then...

That's "EXACTLY" what is happening to mine right now, it was in the top 5 pages for my main 4 keywords and today, I checked and there not in the top 100 now lol.

I don't do any black hat, I keep it looking natural with high PR and multi anchored backlinks. I create 1-4 backlinks per few days.

It works a treat because the links have good link juice, I also post content once every 2-3 days too.
