You come across as a newbie. Thus, most likely your site will be a failure. Thus, it makes sense to go with a subdomain on this one...

    Hope that helps..

Domain names are less than $5.00. If it isn't worth buying a domain name is it worth sinking time into the site?

Godaddy constantly has sales on domain names for $5.99 or even $2.99...sometimes you can find them on sale for $1.

If you aren't willing to spend that kind of money, you really have no business in IM.

You can find a lot of information here on the WF and via Google or other search engines regarding the pros and cons of using a subdomain vs. a subdirectory on your domain.

In addition to that, doing a little keyword research will give you the information you need to determine if the niche is worth pursuing or if you should acquire an exact match domain.

If you don't have the money to pay someone to do these things, you need to do them yourself.

My advice is to buy the domain name. If you put some good work into your site and decide later that you aren't interested in pursuing the niche anymore you will be able to sell the site/domain which won't be as easy to do if this site is just a subdomain. If you are just using the niche to learn then a subdomain may work fine however since domain names aren't all that expensive I'd still advise you to buy the domain name because you never know how profitable it'll become.

I would only use a subdomain for a squeeze page. I would do more research on niche blogs before you start. Google Sniper is a good niche blog course to checkout.
