Hi,

I was wondering if Google caches my content, does it considerate to be high quality and unique or does it cache low quality/spun content as well, that can actually hurt your rankings?

Thanks in advance,
Seamy

Google caches most content, so no it is not rating you more highly than anyone else unfortunately.

Google does not cache all content or even most content. Just some content.

The google cache means neither ranking nor quality.

High ranking content can be garbage.

I don't get your post... If you ping a website, Google caches ALL pages, so ALL content. If Google doesn't cache a page, the content is also not cached... But he is talking about his article, so if he pings it, Google will visit his article page, so for sure it would be cached!

A page can show up on the index but not in the Google cache. Why does Google cache some pages it indexes but not other pages it indexes? Is it quality related? I am only talking about INDEXED pages here.

Again, the cache has nothing to do with quality. You can noarchive a page to get Google to not cache a page & still rank that same page.

Google does not cache everything on a web page. They have limits.

So, if your page has boatloads of text, it aint going to be cached fully. Other
        things are not cached either.

Long article, not all will be cached.

One more reason to limit articles to almost one page, little scrolling. Better
for SEO, visitors, and.....the google cache. Okay, it would need to be
a rather long article, but I'm just pointing out that when people talk about
having a really long article, they had better shorten it.

One kb of text is 1024 ascii characters. That should includes spaces, breaks, etc.
But that's in the ideal world. Sometimes each "character" takes up more space.
html is not an exact 1-1 when it comes to text. This might really
count with a long pdf file.

This actually gives a clue to SEO, as I have stated long ago and often.
The shorter your page, you get a better crawl and cache.

The Google Cache is a snapshot of a web page, has nothing to do with the text on that web page. I've seen 100% flash pages get cached & the Cache (text version) shows a blank page, which is exactly what Google is seeing (blank page). Not trying to flame flash because there are ways to use flash & make it SEO friendly. My point is, Google could care less about the quality of the text on the cache page, or in the flash example, If text even exist.

Keep in mind there's 2 different types of Google Cache, the full cache (useless for SEO) & the text cache (very useful for SEO).

Yes it is right Google caches all the pages which are allowed in robots file of that website and it also crawls all the content of that website but that doesnot mean that your content will be considered as quality content by google.
The content which is very informative for users and is not meant only for marketing or promotions then that content is known as a quality content for google. As Google says Write content for users and not for Search Engines.
