new link analysis tools...

Hi Guys,

Ive been looking for a new link analysis tool for time now.
I have SEO Elite and that limits backlinks to 1000 which is no good
So does Back link Analyzer
So does Link Harvester

I know i can use Yahoo Site Explorer but i want something to analyse and monitor these incoming links

There must be someway around this stupid backlink cap.

How do you analyse your backlinks?
Please help!

Sorry to say, Yahoo works for checking backlinks but Google does not. :confused:

You can compare for yourself using the "link:yourwebsite" each result will be different. Some SEO experts have suggested that Google does not want you to spy and duplicate another sites linking strategy.

All I know is that when it comes to reporting backlinks, Google provides inaccurate data.

Hi biz_online,

Actually, Google supplies very accurate data to website owners inside their Webmaster Tools account.

You can also use

Code:

"www .yourwebsite.com" -site:www.yourwebsite.com

(without space after www).

The "link:" prefix in google simply returns a portion of known links.

That is for indexed pages and not for backlinks... Yahoo site explorer is more accurate..

Hi Solidsnake,

I have to disagree with you. Google's Webmaster Tools shows me all the backlinks they know about under "Pages with External Links", have a look for yourself. Of course, you do have to verify that your control your site to view this data.

Yahoo Site Explorer is accurate at showing you what Yahoo knows, but not accurate at showing you what Google knows.

Worth mentioning is Live Search Webmaster Center which has brought back backlink reports, but just like Google only for sites that you can verify control.

Yahoo Site Explorer is the only one that shows competitor's backlink data.

I occasionally use online web analysis tool from Check PR PageRank SERP Backlink - Web Diagnostic Check Google PR, it gives you summary of backlinks from google, yahoo and msn as well as your PR, technorati, quantcast, and compete ranks, and other analysis.

Maybe can be an alternative for you.
