Have you done some proper keyword research for those sites?

Maybe the keywords you are ranking for don't have many searches so that will explain why you don't have traffic.

Is this a VERY low competition keyword? With 1,000 searches per month? To get sales, you need a much better keyword (like 1,000,000). Try to optimize your website for another keyword and you should start again...

Pretty dumb assumption without knowing a thing about his website, market, products, and/or service.

How many searches a month do the keywords get and in what position are you ranking? Page one doesn't mean much.

Ghulam, even if you're ranked # 1 with a specific keyword but there's not much of search volume for that keyword, it's worthless still. It's better to be ranked # 2 for a keyword with 10,000 monthly searches than ranked # 1 on a keyword with 100 monthly searches only.

I am not sure if you'd like to divulge in which keywords you're currently ranked.

If you were getting high click throughs from Google search results but few sales, then I'd say you need to rethink your sales page. But, since you're not getting traffic from search engines, despite high rankings, then it's possible you're ranking for low demand keywords. Try targeting keywords that people are searching for. These may not be easy to rank for against lots of competition but it's worth the effort to get those click throughs. In the meantime, you could try Facebook and Google Adwords to generate actual click throughs to your site. This won't be cheap but it will be more targeted than what you're dealing with now.

You should identify exactly what the problem is so you can rectify it:

    - Is it a low volume keyword?
    - Is your CTR low?
    - Are both of the above fine? Then it could be your landing page that's the problem

Two critical points can be mentioned in this respect, the first one is relying solely on search engines including Google for traffic can be an egregious mistake because there is a gazillion other ways to find customers and improve page visits. Secondly, if you choose the wrong terms from day one, even after investing time and money in SEO and reaching to the front page of Google, since not many people actually use those terms, or maybe they have changed, traffic will not seem that promising and as expected.

It really depends on which niche you are in. If your niche is that people are not searching quite often there is no advantage of getting on first page. You should promote your site to various forums too, to get more benefits.

Did you properly research your site's keyword? Like competition, monthly and local searches (exact), etc? If your site is ranking well but no traffic or sales, it means that keyword has a very low monthly search volume. You can't just rely on Google only, try different sources like niche forum posting, niche blog commenting or guest posting, niche Facebook fan pages or groups, etc.
