Local Algorithm SERPs - Bad thing?

Hello All,

I run a niche farming business and a few days ago, my Google Rank 1 disappeared and the organic listing page has now changed to include Google Local listings!

So, i've went from organic #1 to Places number one (which is just below organic #3.)

The problem is that this has removed my Title and Description which ideally I would prefer on my SERP! All that shows now is my Google+ Page name and a URL, which to be honest, you would never think was about vegetables and just seem highly irrelevant.

Is this a bad thing to happen? Because i'm really not a fan of all this Local listing bull and I think this may really affect my traffic.

Do you really need G+ account?

Does your traffic even care about the G+ account?

What? You may have misunderstood the question.
    If I didn't have a G+ page, I wouldn't be ranked atall.

Does your traffic even care about the G+ account?
That's precisely the point, my Previous Organic Result is now a Local listing. I don't want this to happen, but I don't know how to stop it from happening.

      G+ didn't rank your page #1.

        Uh.. yes.. I know?

Let me break this down for you:
        • I WAS #1 in an organic search result page.
        • The Search Terms used is now triggering the Local algorithm.
        • I am now ranked #1 in LOCAL listings.
        • As opposed to being #1 in an organic search.

...and G+ is most likely contributing to that local listing.

    Yes, I already know that.

The question was: 'Is this a bad thing to happen? Because i'm really not a fan of all this Local listing bull and I think this may really affect my traffic.'

I imagine this has happened to people here and wanted to see how it worked out for them.

More info please, if the title is irrelevant it's going to effect traffic if your selling a service or good locally and people can understand what it is you may not get as much traffic but it may be more genuine buyer's organic you may get 10,000 visitors but only 20 of them are actual local customer's in local you may get 50 visitors but 30-40 are actual customers. Unless of course your selling in other areas than just your local city, state hope this helps.

It's bad If you prefer being #1 organic, above local results.

Personally I would rather be at the top of the page regardless If it was the local results or organic considering the organic SERP title can include local keywords.
