considering classified ads

I've been considering on using classified ads to promote an affiliate product...
I plan on doing some keyword research on whatever niche I choose, pick one main keyword, either write a review or pre sell the product and hopefully find aa digital product and use the name in a .com url...

What do you think? Note: just thought of this today, and I am not really sure this method will convert very well...but I don't know for sure, I still consider my self a newbie marketer...

I looked for outsourcing ad submission on fiverr but don't know which is best...ad blast to thousands of ad sites or manual submission to 15 classifieds sites with link report?

I would rather submit ads myself...but preferably I would rather use my own downloaded software that posts for me. I just can't find a good (free) ad sumitter to the job, anybody have any recommendations?

I need to integrate some seo into my ads..or do I? Any suggestions on doing seo in posts to classified ads?
All the help I hopefully receive here on this thread is much appreciated...

Thanks,

Deltyf (a.k.a. Gage)

Classified ads will not bring in a lot of traffic to your website because such networks are so huge and loaded with tons of links and ads posted by thousands of folks almost every day and after a few days your ads will be hidden among a gazillion other ads, without bringing any visitors to your website. If you seriously look for making money, your affiliate type of website does need traffic, whether free or paid solutions can help. PPC is one option, and if you look for long-term plans, consider consulting SEO gurus.

      Thanks...

If I choose to post ads knowing that they will get pushed to side anyway, wouldn't I still be able to repost frequently to keep ads running...or that might cause an automatic deletion of my ads?

Im trying to find the one quick way to target traffic to my site...eventhough I might recive some traffic with my ads, if I continue to repost (if possible) I should be able to generate some good amount traffic?

Any ideas on a quicker way (free) to get traffic? Note: I have no social media accounts and currently cannot fund a ppc campaign... any suggestions?or ideas?

      Thanks

  • Classifieds are a good source of traffic if you can keep them up. You may be better off hiring fellow warriors that are experts at posting on classified websites. Or why not try forum marketing where you participate in forums related to your niche that allow you to have signatures. This is a great way to get some targeted traffic as well and it's free.

I don't quite understand...what does it take to keep ads up and running?
How should I trust someone else to do this for me if they will run into thr same problem?

I like forum marketing idea...is there a forum search I can use to find related to my niche?
      More ideas/suggestions welcome...

If you post too many ads on places like Craigslist they will get taken down. And sometimes other marketers will mark you ad as spam to get it pulled down. Experience classified posters know how to keep your ads up and will continue to post them at different times with different wording so you have more of a chance of visibility. They also know other tricks you probably wouldn't.

Finding a forum in your niche is as simple as going to google and typing in your niche + forum.

        For instance "internet marketing forum".

Look through some of the threads and see if there are a lot of views and replies and more importantly if people are allowed to have signatures which is how you'll be able to promote your site. But make sure you're providing value and aren't just posting things to help you.

Answer questions, share information as I'm doing here with you and others do in warrior forum. That's the proper way of going about it.

        Hope this helps.

You can combine Keyword Research with Craigslist, - and do 5o-/100 classifieds too, sort out the ones you want to submit to yourself.. and open a facebook account!

The downsides of classified ads are first, you need to replace ads constantly because they expire quickly and their rankings will continue to drop until it's no longer generating any traffic; second, salespersons and customers are isolated; third, it's kind of difficult to attract customers because there are many ads that are posted. However, if you know how to do classified ads right, you can actually reach a wider range of audience and it's good for local search items.

I also got that same idea and I have been using backpage now for a few weeks. I'm surprised and happy with the traffic I received from it. Like the others said your ad will get buried if you don't keep it current. I simply delete and renew my ads each day. Takes minutes and its free. Good luck
