Lots of Views on High Positioned Ads but No Clicks?

I'm using google ads and I've got ads at the top of the site in leaderboard size as well as near visible content. I've got a site that has 8,000 views in the past 5 days and a site with only 1,800 views. Weird thing is the 1,800 views has more clicks than the 8,000 views and both sites have ads in the SAME position and are both in the SAME category/genre (but based on different products). How does a site with a lot of views with high-positioned ads get very low clicks? How can I improve the clicks? The RPM and CTR of the site with the low amount of views but higher clicks is really high compared to the site with high views but lower clicks.

Improve the sales copy of the ads that aren't performing well.

Paid advertising is just like SEO in that sometimes it takes a lot of testing before you have a solid ad.

I'm using Google Adsense not Adwords. I'm not paying for ads. I'm getting paid to publish ads on my websites. Trying to figure out why one site has ads that gets better clicks than another site.

Had you tried with different makeup, i.e. by changing the fonts and color of the ads? e.g. sites offering women products often use pink/red colors for text and ads. This may be the case for your other site as you have different products on that.

Did I mention that I am using Google ADSENSE not Adwords.

Adsense = I am PUBLISHING Ads
Adwords = I am CREATING Ads to promote my services

In this case, I am PUBLISHING Ads that other people create.

But my friend and I have come to a sort of realization that the website that was driving in more venue and clicks had a younger demographic compared to the other website which had an older demographic and so we're thinking younger people click on ads more (they don't have ad blockers as much as older people). So we might try and launch a new website with products aimed at younger people.
