how to rank keywords for a particular region ?

Hi

Can any one let me know that how to rank keywords for a particular region, it means i want to rank my keywords for google canada, so how i can do it ??

    As per the Google updates that have taken place over the past few months, onsite structure and content relevancy is very very important now a days. It plays almost 30% role in SEO. So you must keep your content according to your target region.

    2nd, link to your site to local sites, like local forums, local blogs, local classifieds, local directories. You can also target .gov & .edu sites with local keywords.

    Article marketing and press release distribution is still effective but do not use your article on too many sites. Try to keep it on maximum 2-3 sites only and then new articles.

    1. Get .ca domain
    2. do more keyword research and find keywords related to your target city/state
    3. if you have more locations/cities to target, have a specific pages to each cities
    4. Set your on-page SEO settings properly - you can find online tutorials to do so - Check on this forum
    5. Start link building (You can hire someone to do so)

    Just build backlinks from websites/blogs related to CANADA! Like Local web and article directories, local forums in your niche, Local Social Bookmarking sites. They are easy to be found (just don't forget to check in Google):

    First of all, your content should be optimized for the location... your domain name should be according to the extension of the country.

    You should mention the name of location in your content, title, heading etc.
    You should use phone no. business address on your website. It would be good if you display your contact info in heading or footer so that it would appear on all the pages.

    Then comes link building, follow all the rules of link building which is hot today like natural link building, relevant, quality sites etc. But make sure that you are using those sites which are based in that location, you can find some directories, blogs, forums, classifieds sites which are based in that particular location.

    build good backlinks from local sites, .ca domain will be easy to rank for canda searches but you have .com, so you need to focus more on local sites, you need to find the local forums and disscussions place

    Unfortunately theres a lot more to it then you think and what you have been told. But if you want a quick solution ( and assuming your on page SEO is optimized) , try getting a .ca domain (optional) and backlink from Canadian based websites.
