What is the reasonable price of PR4, PR5 and PR6 domains that you get in auctions?

Thank you,

£2.99 if you buy an expired domain.

I want to buy expired domains with a lot of backlinks, domain age and PR. What is the reasonable price to pay?

If you come across an expired domain with loads of back links it's just the same price as registering a new domain. We got an old web design company with loads of back links from their old clients. We turned it into a blog and it is ranking just below our main site. We are now thinking of turning it into a second full site.

It's not easy to run into a domain that has a lot of solid back links and that is at the same time available for the normal registration fee.

Solid PR4 domains usually go for $150-$250
Solid PR5 domains in the range of $300-500
Solid PR6 domains are often $500+ but more likely $1000+

Most auction sites really, you could start with GoDaddy as they have the most although they are often not the cheapest but at least you can learn to get the feel for it and then look for more interesting auctions that have less competition.

I thought that PR was now outdated. Aren't there other factors to be looked at now?

      Yeah I filter on:

      Moz.com
      DA
      PA
      Mozrank
      Moztrust

      Majestic
      Citation Flow
      Trust Flow

But I also still keep an eye on the actual PR and then specifically the PR of the back links that are pointing at it cause domains with a legit link profile often have links from much more stable pages.

The PR of expired domains often drops cause the risk of link removal is obvious much higher when a site get's repurposed. You know when some organization links out to the cultural environment group and see's the site has nothing to do with that anymore then they would remove the link.

Quick question: DA and PA can be checked in open site explorer for free. Are Mozrank and Moztrust part of the paid service or can be checked for free too?

Download Netpeak Checker and you can do it enmasse as OSE only allows you like 3 searches/day.
