I was wondering if anyone out there has any suggestions on guides for working with adsense ready wordpress themes and what would you recommend as the best adsense ready themes?

Well, I have some in my sig...

I'd avoid using the most common 'Adsense Ready' themes like 'Prosense' or 'Keyword Sniper' since they're overused and seem to have indexing problems from time to time. Use a theme that has good internal SEO and allows you to place a prominent large rectangle ad block easily. Avoid stuffing the maximum ad blocks on a page, one is all you need.

Yes, don't go for really famous Adsense themes unless you can modify them enough to make them different. Any theme can work for you if you have good traffic, good content and good placement of Ads but don't stuff your site with Ads !!

Despite whats posted above, I have great success with the "Bluesense" theme (http://www.doshdosh.com/bluesense-theme/) - in fact, out of all my Adsense sites - some using various Wordpress themes, some static sites optimized for Adsense - the "Bluesense" sites consistently do the best.

Make sure what you use is compatible with Wordpress 2.7

Many of the existing themes are NOT compatible and will create problems for you as you try to keep up to date with plug ins. The plug ins will not install.

the best AdSense theme you'll ever find is the Thesis Theme at DIYThemes.com.
