At 1k-1.5k daily traffic.. How to get to 10k??

So, I have slightly established my niche blog and am getting around a thousand visits per day. This rate has been pretty steady, and my question is, what is next?

do the same basic SEO rules apply, or, are there different methods that can take a website google likes and make google LOVE it?

I have backlinks from hubpages, squidoo, etc, plus Technorati and Bloglog.

side note- I have one blog post that is generating 65-80% of all traffic

    What did you do to get the 1k a day traffic? Keep doing it. I know your blog can't be that new and getting 1k from organic alone so you must be doing something else. Scale it up.

    One blog post, then you need more posts like that. If you have 12 then you will be at 10,000 a day.

    The best way to drive more traffic to your website/blog is to read, read, read and continue to read everyday. Do not give up and steadily work towards your goals. Eventually you will achieve them, but it takes time. Be patient and all things will follow.
