Hello friends what is the use of providing description for a image while do image optimization, if we are not provide any description for particular image what will happens, please explain me.

    Its good for SEO purposes. Google can scan alt-text from images and the filename of the image.

    So for example if you have an image of a dog in a page that is selling dogs. A wise thing to do is, name the file name of that specific picture to something like dogs-for-sale.png and add a short description with your keyword of that particular page.

    What Ariseo said, plus getting ranked on Google Images. Lots of traffic from it.

    Also, I find that having media along with text is good for your "score". Video, pictures... all help. If they're optimized and have to do with the subject, even better.

    Description/alt text etc. is the best way for you to tell Google and other SE's what the pic is all about.
