Guys want to ask you about this, and I hope you can help me. I have two blog sites with pr 1 each, and it is almost one year old and never been updated as of at present. My question is can I change the URL in the anchor text and replaced it with a new one. I know it's possible, but I want to know if this affects the rankings and the performance of the new URL in the search engine.

  • Kylie,

I suppose it depends on where the anchor text is you are talking about as well as where it leads to. Search engines tend to give more weight to anchor text as well as the links that lead to relevant pages (i.e. link within content that links to other relevant content).

That being said, its doubtful that you would notice any kind of change.

    Best,
