Will an additional QNA blog weaken my ranking ability?

Hey guys,

Couldnt quite nail the subject line for this thread but where is my question.

I have a fairly decent authority blog and to further help my readers (both new and returning), I have set up a QNA blog in a folder on my root domain like this:

Code:
www.mydomain.com/ask/
When my readers leave their questions (kind of a Yahoo answers type of theme by the way), they are usually around 250-400w so its a great source of UGC (user generated content) which really helps me.

However, I was wondering, since my primary articles are about 2000w+, super high quality, authorship verified content, how would Google view a couple (about 2-5 a week) blog posts (that are often written in fairly poor English) by unverified (Google plus) authors that are super short in length (250-400w) appearing on my blog?

I know that Google will know that I didn't write them (through Google authorship markup) but doesnt Google enjoy finding a large amount of high quality articles on the entire blog, not mixed with a fairly large number of poor quality ones?

I know I went in a bit of a circle there but hopefully you know what I mean. I am concerned that since its just a QNA Wordpress theme (questions are essentially posts and question answers are essentially comments on that post) and not a forum (that Google can footprint as one), it will look spammy.

While I want to provide an amazing experience for my readers, I also put bread on the table with my blogging work so I need to have a balance between the two lol.

Your thoughts?

Google wouldn't punish your ranking for that because it value's user interaction. The comments may be of poor english & quality, but google takes in to account what the content is. As to what you were saying above, the content you write personally shouldn't be affected by this.

If anything it should work for you rather than against you!

As Time Goes....Users will start pour in and then these 200 words will become asset for you. Google also take care of the amount of time user is investing within your website. Hence, in the long run, you will get huge benefit out of these bit of lines.

yes this is the point, user interaction is always appreciated by google. the more people interact on any site the more it gains popularity in the eyes of google.
